I can’t believe I’ve never seen this before. It’s a video created by Professor Michael Wesch at Kansas State University, and it’s a fantastic demonstration of why XML is such a big deal.

And yes, I was whoring out my blog in that last post. I apologize for nothing! Netbooks are the future.

  1. t quite a bit, the touchpad keys are terribly placed, the webcam is only 0.3 (the 1005ha-p has a 1.3 webcam), wi-fi is b/g only, no ‘n’. Not a bad netbook all-in-all, but it doesn”t quite measure up to the Asus 1005ha-p.

    * The Toshiba NB205 caught my attention at BestBuy. Definitely the best looking netbook, and possibly the best keyboard. I think this is the next best netbook out there, but it is not perfect, and ounce-for-ounce, I decided that Asus offers the better deal right now. If you’re leaning toward the Toshiba, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed, but the Asus 1005ha-p gets the nod.

    I’ve now had my Asus for a couple of days. There have been some reports of bad units, which I confess had me a little worried. But 2 days into using this, I’ve not encountered a single issue. When I first opened it, I plugged it in and let it charge for about 8-10 hours. I then booted up, ran thru the XP installation, downloaded Firefox and a few other key apps, updated the BIOS, and ran a
